Job Description

A financial planning practice in Benoni needs a tax practitioner who knows eFiling inside out. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll be based at a financial planning practice in Benoni. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

What your day looks like

Keep client tax files complete for five years
Track filing season deadlines and send reminders to clients
Calculate IRP6 provisional tax for individuals and companies
Register clients for income tax, VAT and PAYE
Prepare VAT201 returns and review input tax claims

What you need

Registered tax practitioner with a recognised controlling body such as SAIT or SAIPA
Neat, careful and organised with client documents
At least 2 years of SARS eFiling experience
Comfortable handling tax season overtime

Extra points for

Tax software experience such as TaxShop or CaseWare
Experience with trusts, estates and capital gains tax
Customs and excise knowledge for import-export clients
