Financial Accountant (Manufacturing)

Month-end, year-end and audit prep all run through you at a private school trust in Centurion. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Home base is a private school trust on the Centurion side of Gauteng. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Draft annual financial statements under IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Review creditors, debtors and payroll journals from the clerks
• Build budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads
• Calculate provisional tax and check the VAT201 before submission
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and clear old reconciling items

• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One

• Consolidation experience across several companies
• Power BI or a similar BI tool
