Financial Advisor (Tied Agent, Trainee)

You'll sell cover that families really use, from a financial advice practice in Hammarsdale. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

The work is in Hammarsdale, KwaZulu-Natal, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Do a needs analysis and match the client to the right product.
• Visit clients at home or work for field advice appointments.
• Treat clients fairly under TCF rules and never oversell.
• Follow up on quotes sent and chase missing documents.
• Explain waiting periods, exclusions and premiums in plain terms.
• Capture new policies on the admin system and check debit order details.

• Honest selling, even when the easy sale is the wrong one
• Six months or more of sales, telesales or call centre work
• RE5 passed, or willing to write it within the first year
• FAIS fit and proper: clean credit and criminal record
• You are comfortable earning a large part of your pay in commission

• A qualification such as a Higher Certificate in Financial Planning
• Your own car for field appointments

• Basic salary plus uncapped commission
• Medical aid and group life cover once permanent
• CPD hours logged and funded
• RE5 exam fees and study material paid

• Show commission history with real figures from payslips; interviewers trust numbers over claims.
