Job Description

This gold mine shaft complex near Randburg needs a trade-tested artisan who is safe, quick and thorough on breakdowns. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is in Randburg (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

What your day looks like

Complete job cards and work orders in SAP after each task
Test and maintain flameproof electrical equipment in coal sections
Repair and align conveyor belt drives, pulleys and idlers
Take part in weekend shutdowns for major overhauls
Order spares and track them through the engineering store
Carry out planned maintenance on loaders, drill rigs and utility vehicles

You'll need

Able to read schematics, hydraulic circuits or wiring diagrams
At least 2 years as a qualified artisan, preferably on a mine
Trade test certificate in your trade (diesel mechanic, fitter, electrician, boilermaker, instrumentation or rigger)
N3 certificate or Grade 12 with maths and science

Nice if you have

Government Certificate of Competency studies in progress
SAP PM module experience
Experience with collision avoidance systems on TMM
