Fixed Asset Accountant (Mining) – Immediate Start

A logistics company in George needs an accountant who can close fast and explain the variances. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll be based at a logistics company in George. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Track stock costing, standard costs and production variances
• Build budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads
• Calculate provisional tax and check the VAT201 before submission
• Review creditors, debtors and payroll journals from the clerks
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and clear old reconciling items

• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups

• Power BI or a similar BI tool
• Completed articles at an audit firm
