Fixed Asset Accountant (Mining)

Month-end, year-end and audit prep all run through you at a national retail chain head office in Germiston. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at a national retail chain head office in Germiston. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Calculate provisional tax and check the VAT201 before submission
• Run cash flow forecasts and manage the weekly payment run
• Track stock costing, standard costs and production variances
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and clear old reconciling items
• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary
• Review creditors, debtors and payroll journals from the clerks

• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience

• Power BI or a similar BI tool
• Completed articles at an audit firm
• Consolidation experience across several companies
