Fixed Asset Accountant (Mining) – Experienced

A mid-sized manufacturing group in Rustenburg needs an accountant who can close fast and explain the variances. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll report in Rustenburg. Relocation is not covered for this one. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary
• Draft annual financial statements under IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Track stock costing, standard costs and production variances
• Improve controls, such as segregation of duties on supplier changes
• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules

• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience

• Completed articles at an audit firm
• CA(SA) with SAICA, or AGA(SA) or Professional Accountant (SA) with SAIPA
• Power BI or a similar BI tool

• Paid professional body membership fees
• Study assistance for board exams
• Hybrid schedule outside month-end week
