Fleet Administrator (Licences and Services) – Permanent

Trucks, drivers, loads and deadlines all meet on your screen at a distribution depot in Fourways. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

This post is Fourways-based, with most of your time spent at a distribution depot. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
• Update customers on delivery times and delays
• Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
• Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
• Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route
• Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries

• Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
• Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
• Calm and decisive when things go wrong
• Good with Excel and email

• Transport management system (TMS) experience
• Logistics or supply chain certificate
• Experience on a vehicle telematics platform

• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts
• Office-based work with a steady roster
• Training on the fleet and tracking systems

• Mention the tracking and Excel skills you have. Bring an example report if you are allowed to share one.
• Give the fleet size and route types you handled, for example "40 trucks, long-haul and local". Hiring managers want scale.
