Job Description

Trucks, drivers, loads and deadlines all meet on your screen at a road freight company in Middelburg (MP). It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Home base is a road freight company on the Middelburg (MP) side of Mpumalanga. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What your day looks like

Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
Update customers on delivery times and delays
Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system

You'll need

Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
Matric
At least 2 years in transport or logistics
Calm and decisive when things go wrong
