Fleet Administrator (Licences and Services) – Immediate Start

Behind every truck on the road is a controller; at a distribution depot in Polokwane, that could be you. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is in Polokwane (Limpopo). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
• Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
• Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
• Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
• Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route
• Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
• Update customers on delivery times and delays

• Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
• Good with Excel and email
• Calm and decisive when things go wrong
• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
• At least 2 years in transport or logistics

• Previous truck driving experience
• Experience on a vehicle telematics platform
• Logistics or supply chain certificate

• Office-based work with a steady roster
• Training on the fleet and tracking systems
• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts

• Mention the tracking and Excel skills you have. Bring an example report if you are allowed to share one.
• If you drove trucks before, say so. Controllers who know the road earn quick respect from drivers.
