Job Description

Get off the road and into the control office at a road freight company in Polokwane. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is a road freight company on the Polokwane side of Limpopo.

What you'll actually do

Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route

You'll need

Matric
At least 2 years in transport or logistics
Good with Excel and email
Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
Knowledge of South African road freight regulations

Helpful, not essential

Knowledge of cross-border documentation
Transport management system (TMS) experience
Previous truck driving experience
