Fleet Administrator (Licences and Services)

Trucks, drivers, loads and deadlines all meet on your screen at a distribution depot in Worcester. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is Worcester-based, with most of your time spent at a distribution depot. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route
• Update customers on delivery times and delays
• Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
• Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
• Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
• Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics

• Good with Excel and email
• Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
• At least 2 years in transport or logistics
• Matric

• Transport management system (TMS) experience
• Previous truck driving experience

• Growth to transport manager
• Office-based work with a steady roster
• Training on the fleet and tracking systems
• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts

• Give the fleet size and route types you handled, for example "40 trucks, long-haul and local". Hiring managers want scale.
• If you drove trucks before, say so. Controllers who know the road earn quick respect from drivers.
