Fleet Tracking Controller (Night Shift)

Get off the road and into the control office at a bus and coach operator in Klerksdorp. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is in Klerksdorp (North West). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
• Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
• Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
• Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
• Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
• Update customers on delivery times and delays
• Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route

• At least 2 years in transport or logistics
• Calm and decisive when things go wrong
• Good with Excel and email
• Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations

• Growth to transport manager
• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts
• Training on the fleet and tracking systems
• Office-based work with a steady roster

• If you drove trucks before, say so. Controllers who know the road earn quick respect from drivers.
