Fleet Tracking Controller (Night Shift) – Immediate Start

Trucks, drivers, loads and deadlines all meet on your screen at a road freight company in Prospecton. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

This post is in Prospecton (KwaZulu-Natal). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
• Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
• Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
• Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
• Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
• Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route

• Calm and decisive when things go wrong
• At least 2 years in transport or logistics
• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
• Matric
• Good with Excel and email
• Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office

• Previous truck driving experience
• Transport management system (TMS) experience
• Knowledge of cross-border documentation

• Office-based work with a steady roster
• Training on the fleet and tracking systems
• Growth to transport manager

• Give the fleet size and route types you handled, for example "40 trucks, long-haul and local". Hiring managers want scale.
• If you drove trucks before, say so. Controllers who know the road earn quick respect from drivers.
