Fleet Tracking Controller (Night Shift)

Behind every truck on the road is a controller; at a road freight company in Secunda, that could be you. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

The work is in Secunda, Mpumalanga, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

• Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
• Update customers on delivery times and delays
• Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
• Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
• Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
• Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route

• Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
• Calm and decisive when things go wrong
• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
• Matric
• Good with Excel and email
• At least 2 years in transport or logistics

• Previous truck driving experience
• Transport management system (TMS) experience
• Knowledge of cross-border documentation

• Training on the fleet and tracking systems
• Growth to transport manager
• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts
• Office-based work with a steady roster
