Fleet Tracking Controller (Night Shift) – Immediate Start

Trucks, drivers, loads and deadlines all meet on your screen at a bus and coach operator in Soweto. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is in Soweto (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
• Update customers on delivery times and delays
• Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
• Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route
• Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
• Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles

• Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
• Good with Excel and email
• At least 2 years in transport or logistics
• Matric

• Training on the fleet and tracking systems
• Office-based work with a steady roster
• Growth to transport manager
• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts

• Give the fleet size and route types you handled, for example "40 trucks, long-haul and local". Hiring managers want scale.
• If you drove trucks before, say so. Controllers who know the road earn quick respect from drivers.
