Fleet Tracking Controller (Night Shift)

Get off the road and into the control office at a bus and coach operator in Springs. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Location: Springs, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Update customers on delivery times and delays
• Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
• Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
• Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
• Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
• Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route

• At least 2 years in transport or logistics
• Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
• Calm and decisive when things go wrong
• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
• Matric

• Knowledge of cross-border documentation
• Logistics or supply chain certificate

• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts
• Office-based work with a steady roster
• Training on the fleet and tracking systems

• If you drove trucks before, say so. Controllers who know the road earn quick respect from drivers.
• Mention the tracking and Excel skills you have. Bring an example report if you are allowed to share one.
