Job Description

Trucks, drivers, loads and deadlines all meet on your screen at a distribution depot in Tembisa. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Home base is a distribution depot on the Tembisa side of Gauteng.

The work, day to day

Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
Update customers on delivery times and delays
Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries

Must-haves

Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
Calm and decisive when things go wrong
Matric
At least 2 years in transport or logistics
