Flotation Operator (Platinum Concentrator) – Permanent

The chrome recovery plant near Brits needs operators who can run their area safely on a 24-hour shift cycle. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

You'll be based at a chrome recovery plant in Brits. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Check pumps, cyclones and thickeners on the plant walk
• Take samples at set times and bring them to the lab
• Clean spillage and keep walkways free of hazards
• Log plant readings and downtime on the shift log
• Call maintenance for bearing noise, belt damage or leaks

• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays
• At least 1 year operating a processing plant
• Basic computer skills for SCADA screens and logs
• Certificate of fitness from the mine medical station
• MQA minerals processing certificate at NQF 2 or higher
• Grade 12 with mathematics and physical science
