Flotation Operator (Platinum Concentrator)

Keep throughput up and the plant stable at the platinum concentrator near Mbombela. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

The work is in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

• Call maintenance for bearing noise, belt damage or leaks
• Watch mill loads, cell levels and densities on the SCADA screens
• Clean spillage and keep walkways free of hazards
• Adjust reagent dosing and air flow to hit recovery targets
• Log plant readings and downtime on the shift log
• Start up, run and shut down crushers, screens and conveyors in sequence

• Grade 12 with mathematics and physical science
• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Basic computer skills for SCADA screens and logs
• At least 1 year operating a processing plant
• Certificate of fitness from the mine medical station
• MQA minerals processing certificate at NQF 2 or higher

• Forklift or overhead crane licence
• N4 to N6 or a diploma in Extraction Metallurgy
• Laboratory or sampling experience
