Flotation Operator (Platinum Concentrator)

Keep throughput up and the plant stable at the chrome recovery plant near Rustenburg. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Rustenburg-based, with most of your time spent at a chrome recovery plant. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Check pumps, cyclones and thickeners on the plant walk
• Clean spillage and keep walkways free of hazards
• Hand over the plant to the next shift with a clear status report
• Start up, run and shut down crushers, screens and conveyors in sequence
• Call maintenance for bearing noise, belt damage or leaks

• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Certificate of fitness from the mine medical station
• Basic computer skills for SCADA screens and logs
• MQA minerals processing certificate at NQF 2 or higher
• Grade 12 with mathematics and physical science

• Control room experience
• Laboratory or sampling experience
• Forklift or overhead crane licence
