Job Description

Teach at a low-fee private school in Mogwase where your planning, marking and patience all count. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Home base is a low-fee private school on the Mogwase side of North West. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What you'll actually do

Prepare Grade 12 learners for prelims and the NSC exams
Handle classroom discipline with the school's code of conduct
Plan weekly lessons against the CAPS annual teaching plan
Give extra lessons to learners who are falling behind
Use data projectors, smartboards or tablets where the school has them

What you need

Good spoken and written command of the language of teaching
Clear record on the National Register for Sex Offenders and a police clearance
Full SACE registration (provisional registration only for student or newly qualified teachers)
Sound knowledge of CAPS and the assessment policy for your phase
At least 1 year of classroom teaching, including teaching practice

Helpful, not essential

Coaching experience in a major school sport
Experience marking for the NSC or IEB
Experience with remedial or inclusive education
