Shoppers in Khayelitsha judge a liquor store by its shelves, and that is where you come in. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The work is in Khayelitsha, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
• Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
• Put up price tickets and promotion shelf strips
• Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables
• Face products so labels point forward and gaps are filled
• Unpack deliveries in the receiving area and sort by aisle
• Build promotional displays at the ends of aisles

• Grade 10 or matric
• Polite with customers and happy to help
• Able to stand and lift cases all shift
• Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
• Basic reading and maths for price checks
• Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays

• Being 18 or older for liquor store roles
• Own transport for route merchandising jobs
• Previous shelf packing or merchandising work

• Staff discount on groceries
