Fruit Sorter and Grader – Permanent

You'll sort, grade and pack fruit for export at an avocado packhouse near Centurion. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Centurion-based, with most of your time spent at an avocado packhouse.

• Pack cartons to the export pattern and weight
• Help clean the line and machines at the end of the day
• Move pallets into cold rooms and record temperatures
• Check fruit samples and record quality results on the QC sheet
• Keep your packing station clean and free of stems and leaves

• Quick and neat with your hands
• Follows hygiene rules at all times
• Valid ID or permit
• Able to stand at a line for long shifts

• Knowledge of export standards like GLOBALG.A.P.
• Previous packhouse work
• Forklift licence for palletising roles

• Transport from nearby towns
• Protective clothing supplied
• Overtime pay during peak weeks

• If you want a QC post, bring your matric certificate and say you can write neat records.
• Mention the fruit you have packed before and how many seasons. Packhouses rehire the fast, careful packers.
