Full Stack Developer (React and Node.js)

Write clean code, review pull requests and fix what breaks at a bank's digital channels team in Pretoria East. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

The work is in Pretoria East, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Pick up tickets from the sprint board and estimate the work
• Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
• Write, test and refactor code in your team's main language
• Handle personal data safely, with POPIA rules in mind
• Build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs
• Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning
• Document how your features work for support and new developers

• Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
• Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
• A computer science or IT qualification, or a portfolio that proves you can build
• Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days
• Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
• You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
