Gate Security Officer (Residential Estate)

You'll control who comes in and out of an office tower in Alberton, and log every visitor properly. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is in Alberton (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors

• Speaks and writes basic English
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Clean criminal record

• First-aid Level 1 certificate
• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers

• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Stable long-term site contracts
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Provident fund contributions

• Arrive for the interview in neat clothes with your certificates in a plastic sleeve. It shows the discipline they want.
• List the types of sites you have guarded, like estate, mall or factory. Security companies place officers by site experience.
