Gate Security Officer (Residential Estate) – Immediate Start

Residents and staff at a distribution warehouse in Brits need to feel safe when they arrive; that is your job. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is Brits-based, with most of your time spent at a distribution warehouse. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)

• Clean criminal record
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Alert, polite and firm with the public

• First-aid Level 1 certificate
• Firefighting or evacuation training
• Previous experience at a similar site type

• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Stable long-term site contracts
