Reception Security Officer (Office Tower)

You'll control who comes in and out of a construction yard in Potchefstroom, and log every visitor properly. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll be based at a construction yard in Potchefstroom. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events

• Clean criminal record
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers

• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• Previous experience at a similar site type
• First-aid Level 1 certificate

• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Stable long-term site contracts
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
