Security Site Supervisor (Grade B)

Step up from guarding into supervising on a guarding contract across several sites in Mogwase. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is Mogwase-based, with most of your time spent at a guarding contract across several sites. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Do surprise night visits to check posts
• Meet the client weekly on security concerns
• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
• Investigate incidents and write reports for the client
• Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows

• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Firm with staff but fair and consistent
• Matric, with a security management course a plus

• Computer skills for rosters in Excel or a workforce app
• Mining or hospital security experience
• Labour relations or basic supervision course

• Management training for growth to operations manager
• Cellphone allowance

• If you have been upgraded through the grades, show the progression. It proves you grew on the job.
• Mention how you handled absenteeism or roster gaps. It is the biggest daily headache for security companies.
