Gate Security Officer (Residential Estate) – Permanent

Steady 12-hour shifts at an office tower in George for PSIRA-registered officers. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll be based at an office tower in George. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register

• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Clean criminal record
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Alert, polite and firm with the public

• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• First-aid Level 1 certificate

• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Stable long-term site contracts
