Job Description

You'll design and supervise infrastructure people use every day, with the structural design practice in Komani. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

What you'll actually do

Work out loads to SANS 10160 for buildings and structures
Write design reports and handover documents
Design water pipelines, sewers and stormwater systems with hydraulic software
Review geotechnical reports and choose suitable foundations
Prepare tender documents under GCC 2015 or NEC contracts
Design reinforced concrete and steel structures to SANS 10100 and SANS 10162

You'll need

At least 3 years in design or construction supervision
Experience with structural or hydraulic design software
Code 08 licence and willingness to spend time on site
Good grasp of South African design codes for your field

Extra points for

Contract management training for NEC or GCC
Registration with SAICE and active CPD
Experience on public sector infrastructure projects
