Grade R Teacher (Primary School)

You'll plan and teach CAPS lessons that stick at a faith-based independent school in Potchefstroom. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

This post is Potchefstroom-based, with most of your time spent at a faith-based independent school. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Plan weekly lessons against the CAPS annual teaching plan
• Set, mark and moderate formal assessment tasks for the term
• Capture marks on SA-SAMS or the school's reporting platform before deadlines
• Keep learner profiles and a tidy teacher file for subject advisers
• Give extra lessons to learners who are falling behind

• At least 1 year of classroom teaching, including teaching practice
• Full SACE registration (provisional registration only for student or newly qualified teachers)
• Good spoken and written command of the language of teaching
• Clear record on the National Register for Sex Offenders and a police clearance

• Coaching experience in a major school sport
• Honours degree in your subject or in education management
