Grape Harvest Worker (Wine Farm)

You'll pick, prune and look after crops on a commercial seedling nursery near Komani through the season. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

The work is in Komani, Eastern Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Pick fruit or vegetables at the right ripeness and size, gently
• Fill crates or bins and carry them to the collection point
• Weed beds by hand or with a hoe
• Move irrigation pipes and check drippers for blockages
• Clean and store picking bags, ladders and secateurs
• Plant seedlings in rows at the spacing shown
• Keep your picking card or tag count for daily pay

• Careful with fruit, since bruised fruit is rejected
• Follows farm hygiene and safety rules
