Group Accountant (Consolidations)

You'll own the monthly numbers for a logistics company in Epping, from journals to the management pack. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll be based at a logistics company in Epping. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Track stock costing, standard costs and production variances
• Prepare the audit file and answer auditor queries
• Draft annual financial statements under IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Build budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads
• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary
• Run cash flow forecasts and manage the weekly payment run

• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT

• CIMA qualification for management accounting posts
• Completed articles at an audit firm
