Group Accountant (Consolidations)

Month-end, year-end and audit prep all run through you at a national retail chain head office in Lephalale. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

The work is in Lephalale, Limpopo, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary
• Build budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads
• Review creditors, debtors and payroll journals from the clerks
• Calculate provisional tax and check the VAT201 before submission
• Improve controls, such as segregation of duties on supplier changes

• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience

• CA(SA) with SAICA, or AGA(SA) or Professional Accountant (SA) with SAIPA
• Consolidation experience across several companies
• Completed articles at an audit firm
