Group Accountant (Consolidations) – Permanent

You'll own the monthly numbers for a mid-sized manufacturing group in Prospecton, from journals to the management pack. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is in Prospecton (KwaZulu-Natal). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Draft annual financial statements under IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Build budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads
• Review creditors, debtors and payroll journals from the clerks
• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary

• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience

• CA(SA) with SAICA, or AGA(SA) or Professional Accountant (SA) with SAIPA
• Power BI or a similar BI tool
