Group Accountant (Consolidations)

Your reports shape real decisions at this mid-sized manufacturing group in Prospecton, so they must be right. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Location: Prospecton, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Improve controls, such as segregation of duties on supplier changes
• Prepare the audit file and answer auditor queries
• Track stock costing, standard costs and production variances
• Run cash flow forecasts and manage the weekly payment run
• Review creditors, debtors and payroll journals from the clerks
• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary

• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree

• Power BI or a similar BI tool
• Consolidation experience across several companies

• Performance bonus linked to company results
