Job Description

Returns, assessments and objections all land on your desk at an import and export trading house in Pinetown. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is an import and export trading house on the Pinetown side of KwaZulu-Natal. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What you'll actually do

Respond to SARS verification letters and upload documents on time
Register clients for income tax, VAT and PAYE
Apply for tax clearance and tax compliance status PINs
Prepare and submit ITR12, ITR14 and ITR12T returns on SARS eFiling
Calculate IRP6 provisional tax for individuals and companies

What you need

Comfortable handling tax season overtime
Registered tax practitioner with a recognised controlling body such as SAIT or SAIPA
Working knowledge of the Income Tax Act and VAT Act
Degree or diploma in accounting or tax

Extra points for

Experience with trusts, estates and capital gains tax
Customs and excise knowledge for import-export clients
