Group Accountant (Consolidations)

You'll own the monthly numbers for an agricultural co-operative in Welkom, from journals to the management pack. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

The site is in Welkom; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Build budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads
• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary
• Prepare the audit file and answer auditor queries
• Calculate provisional tax and check the VAT201 before submission
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and clear old reconciling items

• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT

• CA(SA) with SAICA, or AGA(SA) or Professional Accountant (SA) with SAIPA
• Consolidation experience across several companies
