Hardware Store Yard Assistant

Shoppers in Benoni judge a hardware and building store by its shelves, and that is where you come in. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

The work is in Benoni, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Put up price tickets and promotion shelf strips
• Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
• Unpack deliveries in the receiving area and sort by aisle
• Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves
• Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables

• Grade 10 or matric
• Neat appearance and punctual
• Polite with customers and happy to help
• Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
• Able to stand and lift cases all shift

• Chance to move into till or department roles

• Travel allowance on merchandising routes
