Hardware Store Yard Assistant – Fixed-Term

You'll keep the shelves full and tidy at a township shopping centre store in Boksburg, so shoppers find what they came for. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is in Boksburg (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves
• Put up price tickets and promotion shelf strips
• Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
• Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
• Clean spills fast and put up wet-floor signs
• Unpack deliveries in the receiving area and sort by aisle
• Collect trolleys from the parking lot

• Neat appearance and punctual
• Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
• Able to stand and lift cases all shift
• Grade 10 or matric
• Polite with customers and happy to help

• Being 18 or older for liquor store roles
• Previous shelf packing or merchandising work
• Some till or cash-handling experience

• Staff discount on groceries
