Hardware Store Yard Assistant

You'll keep the shelves full and tidy at a hardware and building store in Boksburg, so shoppers find what they came for. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

You'll be based at a hardware and building store in Boksburg. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves
• Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
• Collect trolleys from the parking lot
• Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
• Face products so labels point forward and gaps are filled
• Check sell-by dates and pull expired stock for the manager
• Put up price tickets and promotion shelf strips

• Basic reading and maths for price checks
• Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
• Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
• Able to stand and lift cases all shift
• Polite with customers and happy to help
• Grade 10 or matric
