Hardware Store Yard Assistant – Permanent

You'll keep the shelves full and tidy at a neighbourhood supermarket in Somerset West, so shoppers find what they came for. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll report in Somerset West. Relocation is not covered for this one.

• Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
• Face products so labels point forward and gaps are filled
• Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
• Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables
• Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves

• Basic reading and maths for price checks
• Neat appearance and punctual
• Able to stand and lift cases all shift
• Grade 10 or matric
• Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
• Honest, since stock losses are checked closely

• Previous shelf packing or merchandising work
• Own transport for route merchandising jobs

• Chance to move into till or department roles
• Paid training in store procedures
• Staff discount on groceries
