Health and Safety Manager (Construction) – Immediate Start

The high-rise residential project in Pretoria West needs a safety officer who is on the site, not stuck in the container office. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

The site is in Pretoria West; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Keep appointment letters and competency certificates in the file
• Audit subcontractor safety files before they start work
• Write and review risk assessments and safe work method statements
• Check that fall protection plans are in place for work at height
• Investigate incidents and near misses and report them on time
• Compile and maintain the site health and safety file under the Construction Regulations 2014

• First Aid Level 1 at least
• Confident enough to stop unsafe work, even when the programme is tight
• You write clear reports in English
• At least 2 years as a safety officer on construction sites
• SAMTRAC or an NQF-accredited health and safety qualification
• SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer

• ISO 45001 internal auditor course
• Diploma in Safety Management

• Paid SACPCMP renewal and CPD
• Laptop and data for reporting
• Travel and site allowances
