Health and Safety Manager (Construction) – Experienced

The building contractor in Rosslyn needs a safety officer who is on the site, not stuck in the container office. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Rosslyn-based, with most of your time spent at a building contractor. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Keep appointment letters and competency certificates in the file
• Compile and maintain the site health and safety file under the Construction Regulations 2014
• Run site inductions for every new worker and visitor
• Investigate incidents and near misses and report them on time
• Hold toolbox talks on topics that match the week's work

• Confident enough to stop unsafe work, even when the programme is tight
• SAMTRAC or an NQF-accredited health and safety qualification
• You write clear reports in English
• SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer

• Experience on renewable energy or high-rise projects
• Diploma in Safety Management
• Fall protection planner training

• Paid SACPCMP renewal and CPD
• Clear growth path to a construction health and safety agent role
• Laptop and data for reporting

• Bring a sample risk assessment or safety file index you drew up (remove client names). It shows your work better than a list.
• Put your SACPCMP registration number and category first. Many CVs without it are rejected without being read.
