Health and Safety Manager (Construction) – Immediate Start

The high-rise residential project in Rosslyn needs a safety officer who is on the site, not stuck in the container office. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is in Rosslyn (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Compile and maintain the site health and safety file under the Construction Regulations 2014
• Track PPE issues and replace damaged equipment
• Check that fall protection plans are in place for work at height
• Keep appointment letters and competency certificates in the file
• Write and review risk assessments and safe work method statements

• Good understanding of the OHS Act and Construction Regulations 2014
• First Aid Level 1 at least
• SAMTRAC or an NQF-accredited health and safety qualification
• Confident enough to stop unsafe work, even when the programme is tight

• ISO 45001 internal auditor course
• Fall protection planner training
• Experience on renewable energy or high-rise projects

• Clear growth path to a construction health and safety agent role
• Paid SACPCMP renewal and CPD
• Travel and site allowances

• Bring a sample risk assessment or safety file index you drew up (remove client names). It shows your work better than a list.
• Name the kind of projects you have covered, like roads, housing or wind farms. Clients want sector experience.
