Housekeeping Supervisor (Boutique Hotel)

Check-out to check-in in under an hour, room after room, at a game lodge in Centurion. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is Centurion-based, with most of your time spent at a game lodge.

• Do evening turndowns, closing curtains and setting out slippers
• Clean lobby, lifts and public toilets through the day
• Strip and make beds to the hotel's standard, hospital corners included
• Work through a room list, marking rooms clean on the housekeeping board
• Clean bathrooms, replace towels and restock guest toiletries
• Report maintenance faults like dripping taps or broken lights
• Log lost property with the guest's room number and date

• Well groomed
• Available on weekends, holidays and in peak season
• Honest, since you work in guests' rooms alone
• Friendly and polite if you meet guests in the corridor
• Grade 10 or matric

• Previous hotel or guesthouse housekeeping experience
• A hospitality short course or NQF Level 2 accommodation services certificate
• Experience with industrial laundry machines

• Share of the service charge or guest tips
• Meals on duty from the staff kitchen
• Staff accommodation at remote lodges
• Uniform supplied and laundered
