Housekeeping Supervisor (Boutique Hotel) – Immediate Start

Guests at a conference hotel in Epping will never meet you, but they will judge the stay by your work. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Location: Epping, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Clean bathrooms, replace towels and restock guest toiletries
• Work through a room list, marking rooms clean on the housekeeping board
• Strip and make beds to the hotel's standard, hospital corners included
• Keep your trolley stocked and neat before each shift
• Report maintenance faults like dripping taps or broken lights
• Log lost property with the guest's room number and date
• Load, wash, dry and press linen in the hotel laundry

• Grade 10 or matric
• Available on weekends, holidays and in peak season
• Well groomed
• Honest, since you work in guests' rooms alone
• Quick and thorough, with a target of about 14 to 16 rooms a shift
• Physically able to push trolleys and turn mattresses

• Previous hotel or guesthouse housekeeping experience
• Speaking a foreign language for tourist guests

• Staff accommodation at remote lodges
• Share of the service charge or guest tips
• Uniform supplied and laundered

• Mention seasonal availability for December and Easter. Coastal and lodge properties hire heavily before those peaks.
