Housekeeping Supervisor (Boutique Hotel) – Permanent

You'll turn rooms around at a city business hotel in Pinetown so every guest walks into a room that feels new. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll be based at a city business hotel in Pinetown. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Vacuum, dust and check the minibar in each room
• Clean lobby, lifts and public toilets through the day
• Clean bathrooms, replace towels and restock guest toiletries
• Strip and make beds to the hotel's standard, hospital corners included
• Do evening turndowns, closing curtains and setting out slippers
• Load, wash, dry and press linen in the hotel laundry
• Log lost property with the guest's room number and date

• Available on weekends, holidays and in peak season
• Well groomed
• Grade 10 or matric
• Honest, since you work in guests' rooms alone
• Physically able to push trolleys and turn mattresses

• Meals on duty from the staff kitchen
• Staff accommodation at remote lodges
• Uniform supplied and laundered

• Write how many rooms you usually cleaned per shift. Head housekeepers care about pace as much as quality.
• Mention seasonal availability for December and Easter. Coastal and lodge properties hire heavily before those peaks.
