Job Description

Housekeeping keeps a conference hotel in Bellville running quietly in the background. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll be based at a conference hotel in Bellville. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What you'll actually do

Clean bathrooms, showers and toilets with the correct colour-coded cloths.
Wash, dry and press linen and table cloths in the laundry.
Mix chemicals safely and store them as the MSDS sheet shows.
Vacuum, mop and dust rooms from top to bottom.
Update room status on the housekeeping app or board after each room.

Must-haves

You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow
Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
Grade 10 or higher
Weekend and public holiday work

Helpful, not essential

Chemical handling training
Basic first aid certificate
Laundry machine and steam press experience
